Leadership development is big business. As research by Global Insight Services indicates, the global market for leadership development programs “was USD 77.9 Billion in 2022 and is anticipated to reach over USD 199.9 Billion in 2033, growing at a rate of over 9.9% from 2024 to 2033.”
Given this massive scale of investment into leadership development programs, we may think that the majority of organizations would have achieved great leadership results. Yet we all know that is so far from reality. In fact, many organizations must begin to focus on leadership development, it’s a “must-have” proposition.

A 2024 poll of over 2,000 respondents that Harvard Business School professor Boris Groysberg conducted, found that when asked about what factors had led them to feel disengaged at work in the past, over half the responders – 52% – said that “problems with a manager” had led to their disengagement.
And an additional 25% blamed “issues with the job itself.” Then, “non-work-related issues” and “other” received 12% and 11% of the votes, respectively.
Clearly, while non-work stress can lead to disengagement, people overwhelmingly become disengaged due to workplace factors. And these responses also reinforced the tremendous importance of managers.
There is much work that needs to be done for leadership development. The disengagement of employees and lack of proper leadership support results in billions of dollars in lost opportunity cost for organizations annually. And, it drives other costs – high stress levels, absenteeism, employee turnover and disengaement, among others.
At Strategy Ark, we take a very nuanced and science-based approach to leadership development. And we ensure that people actually operationalize what they learn in training. This critical operationalization must take place after they complete their training.
Notably, we don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, we customize our training to meet your organization’s specific leadership development needs.
We use Gallup Strengths as our foundational approach to leadership training. We focus on working from people’s Strengths, rather than getting short-circuited on their weaknesses.
Unfortunately, most of the corporate America attempts to drive leadership performance improvements by focusing on weaknesses. However, working from Strength yields more favorable outcomes and lasting results.
The right approach to leadership development creates positive energy and lubricates your organization’s path to continued success.
When organizations work from Strengths, they amplify the power of their most valuable resource – people – and achieve lasting success.
When people are coached using the Gallup Strengths methodology, they become more engaged, and amplify their ability to be more effective in their roles.
Your organization lives and dies by the power of its teams’ performance. High-performing teams are a must-have.
CEOs cite effective communication as a requisite quality for their executives. It’s a must-have skill for all, and can make or break an organization’s outcomes.
Effective Conflict Resolution paves the way to effective collaboration. Your limited resources should not be wasted on undue and unnecessary conflict.
