Steve Glaser

Vice President of Best Practices at Strategy Ark

Steve Glaser

Steve Glaser is Strategy Ark’s VP of Growth Best Practices.  In this role he is integrating, applying and educating leaders with a unique and comprehensive collection of proven tools and frameworks.  These bring strategic clarity, alignment and growth. As a fractional executive, advisor and coach, he grounds all improvement initiatives in a multi-level view of the customer problem.  And he addresses alternatives, as well as the company’s “obstacles to sales.”  Steve has pioneered and developed a framework and set of tools called Leadership Hierarchy of Needs.

Most recently, Steve has been working with large corporate clients (from $1.5B to $5B sales) and startups (series A to series C).  Notably, these organizations have been in a wide range of vertical markets.  These included autonomous vehicle development, design automation software, edge AI, IoT, generative AI, cloud computing and semiconductors.  He has been instrumental in launching, pivoting, repositioning and aligning companies to industry megatrends and scalable “growth drivers.”

Mr. Glaser also serves as chairman of the San Jose State University Innovation Council.  He is also a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board for the San Jose State University Lucas College of Business.

Career Journey

Steve brings over three decades of corporate leadership and consulting experience.  This includes seven years as SVP of Corporate Strategy and Marketing at Xilinx (a $3B public tech company, now part of AMD).  At Xilinx, he was responsible for strategic planning, market research, all product launches, market development, ecosystem development, as well as community and education support.  Steve was also responsible for all CEO, employee, investor and corporate communications. During Steve Glaser’s tenure, Xilinx increased its market value from $7B to $20B.

Steve was also the original founder and CEO of ComfortZones Digital.  This start-up provided the Skills and Data for organizational health and productivity, and the prevention of mental health and job performance issues.

Mr. Glaser has also served as an Executive-in-Residence at Plug & Play and Berkeley Skydeck start-up accelerators.  He has also been an advisor for the Edge AI and Vision Alliance.
